Textiles and Apparel

The textiles and apparel concentration at Lipscomb places an emphasis on textiles and fabrics, trims and enhancements, and their uses in apparel and in the home.  Students study clothing construction, textile chemistry, pattern design, and fundamentals of fashions and furnishings for today's consumer.

Students Present Projects in Senior Show

Seniors are required to develop and present a senior project to the public.  Students are given only general guidelines, and no funding, so they have to be creative in their concepts and presentations.  This year, the Textiles and Apparel students elected to present a showcase of their works constructed in classes while in the program.  Many of the creations were original designs.
